I have been in the hair and beauty industry for more years than I’d like to admit to and I’ve owned my own salon for over 20 years!
After having my daughter I returned to the salon with a fresh outlook, keen to learn new skills and started on my brow journey by training with HD brows and subsequently becoming an Elite trainer.
My Passion for brows and makeup and with a large brow clientele, Permanent makeup became the next obvious step for me.
I do feel that my background in hairdressing, makeup, and brow design has given me a really good foundation on which to build so I really did hit the ground running in some respects.
I have been tattooing now for over 3 1/2 years. I’m very lucky to have trained with some of the best artists in the world.
My signature treatment is definitely ombre/powder brows even though I would say I’m a good versatile all round artist, liner and lips I find are a clients secondary choice once you develop their trust.
I get to work on so many beautiful faces every day, I have clients not only from all over the UK but also some from overseas. It’s very humbling to know someone has travelled so far for me to work on their face and also train with me.
Ive held a few of my own masterclasses in ombré powder brows teaching what I love to do everyday I think it’s so important to be supportive of other colleagues in this industry.
I offer 1-2-1 bespoke training days for advanced techniques and perfecting days which are very popular.
September 2019 I will be holding my first accredited conversion classes for brows , lips, liner, it’s early days but the feedback has been fantastic!
My advice for anyone starting in this industry is to master one thing at a time and to remember you are only as good as the skin you are working in. Make sure to manage your clients’ expectations, we are artists, not magicians!
When I’m not at work you can usually find me over at the stables with my daughter and horses and dogs, wearing wellies and covered in mud……a far cry from the glamorous world of Permanent Makeup.
